Hi to everyone out there...

I am pretty new to all this Midibox and SID stuff, but, I decided to take the plunge and build one.

I know a bit about PICs and programed stuff on SID chips about a thousand years ago (I learned assembler on a C64 as a youngster before moving on to Motorola chips) so I am really looking forward to this project.

I was looking around for some PCB masks on here but couldn't find any so I did my own...

I think they are complete and I'm building some PCBs with them this week.

I mostly use Press 'n' Peel these days, it's quicker and produces some pretty good results.

These two are in Word format and print fine on my laser. I use a guillotine - the small one with a rotary cutting blade and a slider - to cut them out. I managed to fit quite a bit on each sheet as you can only pass the sheets through a laser once to my knowledge.

Anyway...

I will be building a sequencer soon and if anyone is interested I will post the PCB sheets for those too.

Cheers guys!

OK, OK, I noticed that when I checked the boards these produced there were errors  :-[, so I corrected them and here are the better versions...

I blame my bitmap converter  >:( and me for not checking thoroughly enough :-[

These are much better...  :)

Hi beowulf. I don't want to be a downer, but..... did you know that these have already been done?

You can download the brd files, open with Eagle Light, and print them out... For Eg mbhp_core_v3.brd

As word .doc files do not always print the same size, word docs are not a suitable format to save these either :( (and they can sometimes transmit viruses)

Anyway, it's nice of you to make this effort for us all. I hope this helps!

Hi,

I didn't know they had been done like this, these are formated to print on letter format for press 'n' peel so the boards are printed onto a single sheet at a time.

I did do a search for somthing simliar, but couldn't find it and rather than mess about trying to do it in Eagle I found it easier to export the files as images and do it in word.

Ah well...
