button matrix questions

Hi guys!

I am quite confused with all the SEQ revisions, I have some questions on the button matrix.

Is the button matrix a SEQ 2 or a SEQ 3 feature?

If I build a button matrix, can I use it as a midi controller as well? This would be *extremely* useful for Ableton stuff.
