You got it dude. I did a double take at that too heheheh

It's called a one-wire wired-AND CAN bus... google has the goss, but this is a pretty good summary IMO

http://www.dcd.pl/ashow.php?page=can-protocol says:

There are two possible bus states - called "dominant" and "recessive". They are usually (but not always) equal to logic "Zero" and "One". Bus logic uses a "Wired-AND" mechanism, that is, "dominant" bits (zeros) overwrite the "recessive" bits (ones). Only if all nodes transmit recessive bits, the bus is in recessive state. If only one node transmit dominant bits it forces dominant bus state. That mechanism is used for arbitration.

You can probably see how this is done with the diodes and the line attached to 5V...

thanks for the fast answer, stryd.  :)

Just some more cables for the CS and my HW is complete.  :D

another question (sorry for misusing this thread  :-[)

As I have to upload the SID-application when I'm finished with the HW

I still need JRE. I've searched the whole Java homepage, but i couldn't find

an offline-installation-package. I'm a *modem* user so I prefer dowloading

bigger files with a download manager.

Does anybody know where to get the JRE-offline-install-stuff?

thx in advance,

I did a lot of search, but I just can't find the file.

All i need is this one file.

I want to download it (,unzip) and install JRE.

Has anybody got a concrete link to this file?

thx in advance.

Thank you! :)

13MB nonstop with a 56k modem....  that's kinda suicide  ;)

No worries dude.

Just while we're wasting bandwidth to try and look pro ;) A little advice for you and everyone else:

I HIGHLY recommend going into the java control panel after installation and turning off the internet update.

It'll be a bandwidth hog for you, and the update is notorious for screwing it all up and making errors like this one: Messed up Start/Taskbar Graphics and lord knows what else...
