zedder Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Dear All,I am new here and I have a question concerning the protocol to be used with digital potentiometers for the purpose of "upgrading" a very old non-midi synthesizer to a midi compatible one.The aim is to not change the original electronic schematic and to replace the analog potentimeters with digital potentiometers and to have these digital potentiometers controlled by a PIC.But... there are at least 35 analog potentiometers to replace by digital ones and I don't know which protocol suits best for this job (I2C, SPI, other....) ?Does someone has experience with this ?Many thanks in advance !Zedder
stryd_one Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Hi Zedder,You should try the search engine mate :) Look for 'digipot' and 'MBFX' here and in the wiki, and you will find lots of information, including a ready-to-use driver.Hope that helps :)
