Hey people, check out this nice machine. Sure, guitar playing robot are nothing new, but this one is really much cooler than other I`ve seen.

I also really like the tune. It goes really well with the look of machine. Enjoy

That´s absolutely fantastic  :o I want one :)

I´ve got no feeling of the size of it though - there´s no reference point to estimate it. So do you think these are motor faders or is it more like 1-2 m long?

Here is the good reference point... Pay attention on fact that Japanese are smaller than white people, especially Japanese women :)

No, it is not a projection. You can see it from different angles. Anyhow, you can see the machine on few other videos at youtube, or compare the size of the 3 regular factory made "things" for triggering guitar mounted at the bottom of robot. Also, for making that sound range, strings needs to be much longer than the length of motor faders. For driving this thing they probably used servo motors, because they are quicker and more powerful than steppers. You can see some pretty quick maneuvers. Mechanical construction is pretty simple, and not different much than any printer mechanism except it has rotating string trigger, but anyway looks great and sounds great. I would make one if I know how to program/drive it. If somebody wants to support that side, I could make mechanics. :)
