MB 16e -don´t know wich code should be uploaded

Hiho

In the last days i´ve build a small midi-controller based on a core-modul with pic 18xx, and a din-modul with 16 rotary-encoder (from voti).

Connectect J1 of the din to J6 of the core (...like explained at the mb 16e din description)

Everything works fine, Vss and ground are aviable as they should be, (checked with a multimeter like anounced at ucapps), and i´m well able to upload something by mios.

But here are my end of the "easy going"  :'(

I´m not able to assume wich hex files I should upload, tryed the main.asf und the mb16e.asf found in a zip-file called "midibox64(e)".

Works, but I´m unfortunately unable to use the mb examply in reason to controll the Potis and so on ´cause midi-learn doesn´t take any effect.

Can somebody explain or show me a link where i can find what I have finally to do so that my mb will work?!?

Kind regards...

can you see the incomming midi events with midi-ox?

It seems that nothing will be send, means no incomming midi events.

After "reset" of the mb appear this messages:

TIMESTAMP IN PORT STATUS DATA1 DATA2 CHAN NOTE EVENT

00004579  Del --    F0  Buffer:    8 Bytes  System Exclusive

0000477F  Del --    F0  Buffer:    8 Bytes  System Exclusive

00004EE6  Del --    D0    1A    --    1  ---  Channel Aft

after that, nothing else, what ever I do.

So i think my problem must a fault or inclomplete code-upload.

Can somewhere found a prog for testing if everything right installed!?

Connect a LCD Display in the meantime -works fine and i love the "blue"  ;D

Hope that I´m able to find some more specific details when upload but get no further than

"Mios V 1.9f TK..."

than...

Int.1      [][][][][][][][]

1|CC#    7    [127]  []

Got no incoming midi-messages by any encoder.

I connect the din-board for testing to J9 of the core, and realy -one encoder of the 16 works fine so I space out a wiring error.

Can me somebody get a hint what to do please!?....

Take some modifications to the mb64 code and it works.

Not 100% like I want it yet, (SR 3 + 4 doesn´t do what I "say" *smile*), but the rest works fine!

Got a minimal mb with LCD, 4 buttons and 6 encoders working, the rest seems to be only change the mb-code at a few points.

I´ve learnt so much about "programming" a mb since the last days , thanks a lot ...I´ll keep u updated  ;D

Works fine now, after "understanding" what code line works for what everything´s so mutch easier.

Current Setup: LCD, BS, 24 Encoder, 12 Buttons.

As u know it´s really easy to build additional modules if u got a "ground-setup" working so maybe my next post will show the (momentary) end-result if u r interessted  ;D
