I have been toiying with whether to use the dout module or make my own using a max7219 led driver. The reason for using the max7219 is the built in dimming control of the whole matrix (built in pwm). How can I modify the DOUT module for this behaviour? Build a square wave generator and modulate on/off the connection between the cathodes and ground? Must be a simpler way? cheers,     Danjel
