Buying faders based on operational life

Hello,

New to the site, I've been searching for some good faders to use.

When looking at the faders at the Bourns website, I get concerned about rated operational life. Has anyone had faders fail due to extended use which were rated at 100,000 min cycles? I'd really hate to have to replace anything.

If anyone knows of a sample-friendly manufacturer that provides non-contact faders, I'd appreciate it. I'm only planning on using a few faders (six max) and I may be able to write a persuasive email.
