salvaged ym2164

I'm not sure if this has been posted but I'm very curious whether the ym2164 or ya3256 can be used for a midibox fm project?  They did come out of a working dx100 but with some issues.

I'm sorry if this is a naive question but I am only a noobie with minimal experience with this stuff.

I'm pretty sure the YM2164 can't be used in the MBFM. I just searched for the datasheet and returned nothing.

Sorry mate, only the specified chips will work with the FM project.
