  1. no no noooooo...i wasn't at all talking about breaching rights etc. ! ;) but thanks for pointing out the legality of the matter. in fact, it'd be good to contact the original guys from quasimidi and get them to help out. i already asked at the support page, but no joy, and i don't want to hassle the guy too much, lol.. this is very much a general enquiry re feasability. and interest...
  2. ok. if i can hustle the sourcecode from the manufs somehow, does it get any more feasible/easier? i was thinking the eeprom can maybe be hacked and the data worked on from there. a bit naive perhaps. i'm just going on what i read on forum about people reading eeproms/firmware edits/bootloaders etc. (viz x0x forum) so far, i'm told at quasimidi.eu that the source is 'no longer available'. not sure exactly what that means, and have not pressed the issue so far. overall, the interface + layout isn't bad, but i've been surprised by some of the limitations i found in functions. it's a big piece of kit, and when you consider what those little yammy QY things can do, etc etc... for example, untill the v3 firmware, you couldn't copy the core pattern unit, the 'motif' (eg: the single voice pattern, as opposed to the assembled pattern of all voices playing). that was surprising.
  3. hello all, newbie post, and not sure if i have the right forum section: i picked up a QuasiMidi 309 Rave-o-lution on ebay, (fully expanded) and after a bit of use, identified some things that could be better, eg: with the firmware.(here v3.0) nobody seems to know much about the sourcecode, and it seems like quasimidi folded before certain promised updates happened. would it be a viable project, to try to add things like ? eg: midi CC# out re-mapping ( i have a list of things i noted, can post later) i have no skills regarding this, but quite a few users out there might like to see this box improved. thanks for any interest, i've asked around on a few forums, but not much response so far, so thought this could be a good place to ask.
