  1. Hehe..thanks man :) Ah, yeah, sorry. Well, you see, I have so many projects going on at once. Maybe it was not clear in my original post, but the only reason I considered making it available to others is because I wanted one for myself. I am not particularly interested in the new version for myself, unless there is something radical I am missing in the feature-set? The current release seems to fit my needs nicely. EDIT: Also, I like using PIC stuff more because it saves me some money...haha.
  2. Hey Thorsten, Oh! I had no idea :) That is perfect! So is there any way I can etch my own PCB of that at home? I can't seem to find a board file or anything :) Cheers!
  3. Hey guys! First poster here, but long time creeper. I've been meaning to build a MIDIBox CV for my modular system (in its own enclosure outside the modular), and have been moving closer to actually going forth with it. Anyway, first off, are there any projects similar to Wilba's sammichSID for MIDIBox CV? I can't seem to find any. So, assuming the answer is "no", that leads me to my next proposition -- I am a small maker of modules for analogue synthesis ( http://www.hexinverter.net ) and so am not a stranger to electronics and PCB design. I am going to be making a one-off MIDIBox CV for my own usage, and I will be routing a circuit board for the controls, shift registers, and associated MIDIBox modules so that I don't have to deal with protoboard wiring and stuff, and so that it will be visually appealing. I plan to use a translucent enclosure from Hammond, so the latter point is sort of important. This also works because then the LCD does not need a custom square hole machined for it. The LCD can be viewed through the enclosure :) The design would be a set of PCBs that sandwich together and bolt directly into a Hammond MFG enclosure, providing builders with a super easy MIDIBox CV build. I do believe that people in the modular DIY world would eat it up. So, I would like to know whether I am allowed to then sell PCB sets and offer a project out of the design to other people. I've been doing this for awhile with modular projects, so figured I would offer with this project since there appears to be no simple solution for someone wanting a really nice, easy to build MIDI-CV interface built from the MIDIBox platform like there is for the sammichSID and other MIDIBox projects. I know that the licensing is very strict with MIDIBox, so would like to inquire about it. Sorry if the answer should be blindingly obvious somewhere. I may have missed it, but I have looked. Cheers :) --Stacy
