  1. FIXED - plugged my MB6582 into MIDIos Studio and it reset after the initial scan. Thanks TK!!
  2. Hello! I turned on my midiboxSID the other night and all LEDs/LCD turned on steady instead of a nice little tune and blinking lights. Its appears to be bricked. Any button combo for a hard reset? Do I need to try and flash the PICs again? Tried a cursory search of the forum but did not find much.. Thanks!
  3. ah cool! if you got any pics i would be curious to see how you wired up the rpt-60. also, curious what you are planning to do with the CV outs and how that might interact with a modular system (i happen to be putting together a modular now..)? i appreciate you help!
  4. btw, what kind of 300uf cap should i use in C2 and C4?
  5. thank you very much for the schematic! I am going all 12v. I noticed that both the -12 and the +12 are used, i though only +12 came in.. also, i notice that C4 is a change of cap value from the original BOM.
  6. Bit of an electronic noob here.. building with 6281x 8. I am curious if i can use the 7 pin din that comes with the SmashTV kit as a power connector for my Meanwell RPT-60b supply? I did not populate the power regulation circuit and i was wondering if i can just solder on some wires to the pins and connect to J4. I had also read on another thread that someone had done this bit used some of the caps as power conditioning. Any tips/instructions on how i could do this? thanks!
  7. thanks for the reply! I ended up ordering a meanwell RPT-60B that i had seen mentioned in the forum. Its probably way overkill but..
  8. I am curious what the power requirements are for the MB-6582? I am looking for PSU options and i want to get the smallest unit needed. I am hoping that the Meanwell RD35 will work with my 6581x8 MB. it is 35W 12v/5v 4A thanks! alex
