  1. Hi, I have modded my Peavey Vypyr 120 combo guitar amp, since it only has a dedicated 8-pin connection to the Sanpera pedal, which transports midi and voltage for the pedal. To be able to also use midi signals from a sequencer to control the amp, I split the 8-pin connection up to standard 5-pin and the other three pins separate, putting a midi merger in between. Everything is documented here: http://peavey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=42132&sid=fa2db4d5a14f0699d076a40acd46d0ea Everything works quite nicely, except the volume pedal of the Sanpera. It does more of an on/off switching and in general is very unpredictable. I captured Midi Data with MidiOX with and without merger (see attachment, part above sysex is without, below with merger, sysex comes from switching the amp on) and can't see any difference. What I'm trying to find out now, is if there is a generic problem when using a merger in conjunction with midi CCs from an expression pedal, or if only the merger I have sucks ;) I also found this discussion, no idea if that could be relevant: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=102792.0
