The SID (core) selection can only be done via dedicated buttons, you will also need LEDs for each one to display the selected SID.

Note: it seems that this modification is only required for MIDI devices which don't comply to the MIDI specification!
Usually the MIDI IN port of a device has to work correctly when the current through the MIDI wire is at least 5 mA.
3.3V / (3 * 220 Ohm) = 5 mA

Yes, Im using 74HC541 based buffers to protect the pins of the core module, and as 5V level shifters (required for Core32, since some synths can't handle 3.3V)

No filing required - I only had to reduce the size of the middle boards with a cutter so that the second button row is between two boards (was done in 1 minute).
Thats the reason for the small gap between second and third board row. But this gap doesn't hurt, the distance between buttons stays identical.

I prefer the LH version. Very often I've to switch between the different selection modes. For this I would like to use the left hand, so that the actual selections can be done with the right hand.
