had more fun last night as well, playing my modular analog synth with it http://soundcloud.com/jilt-van-moorst/analog-s4l

Had a lot of fun last night and stayed up way too late.. Today I turn it on again and notice that I didn't save the sequence correctly. Can anyone tell the exact step by step method for saving/loading? ie press save - (hold it?) - press group GP - press slot GP - (release save?) I was amazed at how varied patterns I could get after just entering a bunch of notes, a real inspiration machine!

The sequencer works fine! For some reason, my MIDI keyboard (or rather ancient home organ) has stopped outputting MIDI. If I use my MPC-1000 instead, it works fine :) thanks again for all the help cheers, Jilt

OK it SEEMS to work, except MIDI notes from the keyboard connected to MIDI IN 1 don't come out at MIDI OUT 1, no matter if In_>Out is selected or not. I'm powering from USB but it's not connected to a computer. MIDI is coming out, I'm getting clocks when it's running and a reset when I press stop. All joints around MIDI in/out 1 seem fine. Should this be working out of the box or am I missing a step to get it working?

Merely one bad joint on a regulator on the core PCB. Happens every day in Amsterdam ;) all seems to work fine now, on to exploring this thing!

I forgot to bridge it, it indeed boots up when I do, relieved I didn't fry it :) Will check J15S solder points on the core and do some more tests, thanks again! Well I managed to start the sequencer for the first time! Now it looked like it behaved like it should. Previously the intro seq took ages, and had a seemingly random pattern, and when it finally went to play the sequence, instead of going from left to right it looked like there was a mirror of the sequence going in opposite direction. Now it boots up after 5 seconds, and everything looks normal. It turns off after the slightest touch, so there's some loose contact somewhere I'm sure. Looks like I'm getting there! thanks again.

OK... So I managed to flash the bootloader and upload the SEQ4L firmware. Initially I had similar issues as DSL_man (LED activity at LED 1-5 and 12-16, nothing between LED 6 and 11, and pin not mapped errors). Then I read TK's reply that jumper J_15S needs to be mounted to 5V (why? there is no LCD? also not mentioned anywhere in docs?). Now my LPCXpresso is totally dead, even if I remove it from the core and connect it through mini-USB, there's no light going on. Could it be fried by not having set the J_15S jumper?

Thanks for the hints.. in the mean time I have solved it by installing the software on a modern computer. Now it boots fine slowly PWMing the onboard LED. Next thing is to try and get the whole thing seen by MIOS Studio

I'm having trouble flashing the MIOS bootloader. I tried previously with the big USB connector on the core PCB, now I'm using the mini USB on the LPC. I had already cut the trace on the LPC. When I bridge it the onboard LED starts flashing, in bursts of 2 flashes. I'm using an old windows XP laptop. When I connect the LPC Windows sees a new device and wants to install drivers, which I cancel. The problem is that the LPCXpresso software never finds the device to flash. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

@moloxbat: yes it's possible according to the website. I have a question too about mounting the LEDs, does the long pin go left or right?

Excellent news! You have just made my day :)

Would it be completely crazy to combine this with the functionality of the AC_Sensorizer?

Also every class-compliant MIDI interface works, tested this myself.

I like the idea, but while most drum modules are relatively shallow (especially the MFB ones), some could be very deep. A deep desktop case doesn't sound so appealing.

ah I see, you are using 'double female' spacers, was thinking of the ones with a threaded 'male' side on the bottom.. are they 20mm?
