Hi members :-) I finally got my MIDIbox up and running with all the pots, so now it is time to move on to the buttons and the DIN/DOUT. I bought some OMRON B3F/B3J tactile buttons with (as far as I can see) four connectors labeled 1, 2, 3 and 4 and two connectors for the LED. This is the one: I can't seem to find any connection information anywhere on the OMRON site, and google didn't help much either. Any of you have had any experience with these buttons that could tell me where the 1-4 connectors should be connected to my DIN ? Thanks in advance and for all your help; KennethA 12bit.com

No but I have a couple of ideas. My first choice was to have a frontplate made from Schaeffer and I still might, but initially I'll have to wrap it into something else to make sure my skills are good enough to make it work at all. Paying 100 - 200 € for a nice frontpanel that'll never get anything plugged in is not my kind of fun :-) So I was actually considering a Retex Abox-5 (http://www.retex.es/images/cajas/Plastico/abox5_pe.jpg) but I am not sure yet. I'll have to finish most of the soldering / building before making any final decisions. And yes; we SHOULD get together and share parts .. when the Alltronics package arrives maybe ? :-) Have a great weekend while I try to get my LCD display to work; KennethA

Hi guys. Yes; I am a newbie, and I am having some worries regarding the CORE board I bought from SmashTV recently. It says on SmashTV's site that I first have to install / solder the jumpers. What exactly do I need to connect these holes ? Am I supposed to use any of the supplied components ? Am I supposed to use an old piece of cable ? Any advice ?
