I've found this transparant film: http://www.papierundfolien.de/flash/index.html (InkDeco) You can order it at www.conrad.nl. It's 10 Euro's for 5 sheets. I think it will work for my midibox. Greetings, Ramonster

I came across this one here: Safmat Inkjet Film made by Letraset it's 30micron thin and is not glossy and sticks on 1 side. But it costs about 26 euros for 10 A4 sheets Anyone got any experience with these? Ramon

Host not responding to midi after some time.
ramonster replied to ramonster's topic in MIOS programming (Assembler)
I've found the problem (and fixed it). Turns out to be my firewire interface on my motherboard. I've tested a pci-firewire card of a collegue and in worked for 6 hour (then i turned it off ;) ) So anyone with problems with their midi-connection dissapearing (in Live 5.0) should try replacing their firewire interface. Greetings, Ramonster -
Host not responding to midi after some time.
ramonster replied to ramonster's topic in MIOS programming (Assembler)
Yes, I guess it's a problem with my midi-interface. When i connect my midibox to the laptop (m-audio audiophile firewire midi-interface, same as i have) it works perfectly with Live. I've installed the latest driver for my own audophile firewire. I'll check the driver-version he installed for his audiophile. Thanks for your replies!!! Ramonster -
I'm using Ableton Live as my Host. I connect my 'custom' midibox and i receive the midi messages ok. After a while my Host just stops responding to my midi messages. In the midi-monitor of MIOS-studio i can see that there are still midi-messages comming in (the ones that i'm sending !) How can it be that my host is not receiving these messages? Is it because i'm not sending an FE (active sensing) command every 200ms???? Greetings, Ramonster

I've just fixed this problem myself. Download all the header and include files http://sdcc.sourceforge.net/snapshots/i586-mingw32msvc/sdcc-snapshot-i586-mingw32msvc-20050922.zip extract them in a sdcc directory under you map with your files. include these lines in your main.c file #include "sdcc/lib/src/_divuint.c" #include "sdcc/lib/src/_divsint.c" #include "sdcc/lib/src/_muluint.c" #include "sdcc/lib/src/_mulsint.c" Should work Greetings, Ramonster

32 buttons on 1 DIN & 32 leds on 1 DOUT
ramonster replied to ramonster's topic in MIOS programming (Assembler)
Thanks, that's exactly what i wanted to hear. Greetings, Ramon -
Maybe this is a stupid question, but.. can i connect 32 buttons on 1 DIN and 32 leds on 1 DOUT. When i search the forums i come across posts where they speak of the first 4 buttons being for controlling the menu. Is this just for the midibox64 implementation? Can i use the full 32 buttons and 32 leds if i programm my application myself? Greetings, Ramon

Is this a momentary button (R13-523a) or an on-off switch???
ramonster replied to ramonster's topic in Parts Questions
Yes, exactly. Is it true that a latching switch is defined by off/on and a non-latching switch by off/(on) ? -
Is this a momentary button (R13-523a) or an on-off switch???
ramonster replied to ramonster's topic in Parts Questions
I want to have 7 buttons (x 3 tracks). 6 start buttons and 1 stop button (per track) the 6 start buttons should act like radio buttons (max.1 led on) pushing the stop buttons should turn all leds (of the track) off. The 6 start buttons (per track) should send a midi-event to my ableton live. Greets, Ramonster -

I'm building a midibox with: 32 buttons (with leds in them) 28 pots 4 faders lcd display i've looked it up again, and i need a 7-10v 500mA power supply. Greets, Ramon -
I'm looking for a power supply for my midibox i've found a 6v-500mA power supply. But there are 2 versions a 6V/500MA NEGATIV and a 6V/500MA POSITIV. Does it matter what version i get, or can i just switch the connections to the core? Greetings, Ramonster

Anyone???? -
Could someone tell me if this is a momentary button or an on-off switch. I need a momentary (pulse) button for my midibox with a led. I think this one will do, but i'm not sure. http://www.sci.com.tw/htm/switch/(R13)%20PUSH%20SWITCH/R13-523.htm Does the term off/(on) mean it's a momentary button? Ramon
