  1. You could reuse the hardware... you can also make your own LED rings, and aren't limited to what they have already done. Also you can buy joysticks that connect to the midibox you make and don't have to use game controllers and such ::) It's much better and more creative and plenty of eye candy to be done if you DIY. Just look around.
  2. Well, I don't know much about any of that but it looks obvioius to me that the bulk of those errors are because you are trying to work in a directory that is too far from root... move it to a temp directory like c:\Temp\ and try recompiling there.
  3. Oh, and am I correct in what I've read that each set of 8 MF's will need it's own Midi connection? (I will be using Nuendo if that matters) Is it just the motofaders that require this? if I had multiple cores linked w/o MF's then I would be able to just have one connection?
  4. That's basically how I saw it... so how does the MF work... only 8 per core right? that's only 8 analog ins... what takes up the other 56 analog ins of an AIN? Or is it just 8MF's and then you can still have 56 pots? And this still makes me question is there a total number of INS? Is it 128 DIN(64 encoders) AND 64 pots (or 8 MF's) given MIDIbox64E. And the MIDIbox64 has 64 AIN's AND 64 DIN's? Again, sorry for the redundancy... just my thick skull ;)
  5. I have been reading all over this site for about a week now and everytime I think I get it I read something that makes me think I don't get it again ::) Basically, I know it depends on software running in the PIC but with MotorFaders it seems to be pretty universal... 8 per core... but what else can be done on that core? Can I still have encoders? I think I know that I can still run 64 buttons and those are done via the DIN so I would think encoders fall under that also... how many can I hook up? I would just like to see a clear consice example of what can be hooked up to a core... it always says "up to 64 this, up to 64 that, up to 128 leds..." but I can never tell if they mean AND this and AND that... or OR this and OR that. Single core can drive: X - MF AND X - encoders AND X - Pots AND X - buttons AND X - LEDS I know the answer to some would be ZERO but that is what I would like to know.... Sorry if this seems dense and redundant (I have a tendancy to do that) but this would end a lot of the questions I have been reading pages and pages trying to figure out ;) Thanks guys and thanks for a kick ass PIC!
  6. Is there a limit to how many core's can be linked in this fashion? The mind is running wild with possibilities ;D
