  1. yeah, but it all seems to be laptop-touchpads?

And I can't see how many pins they have or their details.. (resitancebased or...)

Do you have a link to just 1 touchpad that I could connect directly to the AIN?

      Thanks again for your help...

  2. Hey Everyone..

Sorry for the many topics, but I have lots of questions :-)

I am about to build a MIDIbox64 into my guitar.. 1 core module, 1 AIn module and 1 DIn module, and before I saw the topic below, I wanted to go with 8 pots and 8 buttons:

My guitar-mod started when I saw the band MUSe live, and saw this guitar:

Check out how the touchpad is built into the guitar. That's what I want!!!!!!

But is it easy to buy a touchpad and add it to a module (and which module)?

Do I need a lot of software tweeks or what?

I'm really really excited if this can work!

  3. Hey Everyone

I'm building a MIDIbox64 into my guitar with a core module, a AIN module and a DIN module.

That means I want to have 8 pots and 8 buttons (4 menu + 4 other) in the small amount of space I have.

Therefore I'm looking for the following:

8 pcs. of 10k linear pots in a good quality! Beside that they have to be pretty small. I know that it really depends of the knobs I put on the pots, but it helps if thei diameter isn't too big (so they can be mounted close).

8 pcs. of small buttons in good quality...

I'm looking for gold knobs and caps to put on the buttons and pots, so if you know any small gold-hardware that would be nice :-)

I am really confused looking at all those german electronic stores :-)

  4. ok.. I'm a bit confused? Have a souple of questions

    1) How do I tell all my buttons what to do in the first place? is that a software-thing or do I have to have the menu-buttons to make a button work?

    2) How are the menu-buttons connected? Are they special buttons? (do you have a link to a well-drawed diagram?)

      - Rune :-)

  5. Maybe this is a stupid question, but when I have everything connected, how can I program the button events, when I have no menu buttons?

Have looked around for an explanation of what exactly the menu buttons are and where they are connected, but haven't found anything. But I'm anyways not gonna have em', so what do I then do?

  6. Hey... Sorry I didn't explain it so good. The 20 LEDS are seperate from the whole midibox thing... They are connected to an on/off switch just for lighting the beast up, and have nothing to do with the core... That's why I wonder if I should just split the power coming from the midi-cable in 2? Or will the seperate LEDs pull too much power??

Thanx for helping.... i'm learning alot

  7. Hey everyone.. I have searched for 2 days, but can only find 1 unsufficient thread about this...

But Im building 1 Core module, 1 AIN module and 1 DIN module into my guitar. I will make a midi-jack beside my regular jack to send out midi signals to my guitarpedals.

I want to run the power over the 2 unused dims in the Midi-cable. The power has to run the modules + 20 blue LED lights running 3.6 volts each (20ma). Which poer supply should I use, which dimms are the unused in the MIDI-cable, and how do I run the power inside the guitar (do I just split the wire into two, one going to the modules the other going to the LEDs?)

      Thanx - Rune

  8. I have thought about it, and I think that I'm going to make 4 pots and 4 buttons, therefore sticking with the list above. If I do that, I can use it to control a bunch of other things :-)

Is it then not easier to use the MIDIBOX64 software? and then using META-events?

I think that I'm going to skip the programming for now :-)
