Hello, I am currently working on a few design changes for a mbhp_sid pcb. Current changes i made: -I redraw the Schematic from the scratch to have a .sch and .brd eagle file, this allows easier change in the future. -The voltage regulator was moved to the border and allows easier mounting on a heatsink. -An additional connector for direct current supply is optionally available. -Instead of having ground wires, the whole copper area is now used for ground plane, and therefore better shielding(eventually less noise) -the clearance between pads,wires,vias and the copper area was changed from 8mil to 16mil, this allows easier soldering(especially for beginners) -As 4x2 Connectors are not available, i've changed it into a 5x2 Connector, therefore a "Pfostenstecker" can be used to connect to the mbhp_core.Also the distance from the sid chip is a little higher. So my question is: Have you any other recommendations? Are other people interested in this new version? If yes, where should i put it online? Best regards, David

Just sold it at the back like this: Just dont push the header completely in the PCB and you'll have some place to solder

Keys are from an old Machine Controlling Keyboard. So nice i still have like 50 of them, 10 "blanco"without any label. I am thinking to use them for a Clockbox! Before building a MidiBOX Sid with whole Control Surface a wanted to build a simple version. Somebody putted this housing (External ZIP housing)in a trash and i thought its usefull to put the SID inside since it provides 5V and 12V like a Computer Power Supply. The buttons are desoldered from an old keyboard, the encoder sampled from albs, the PIC sampled also. I got the 6581 as donation from a C64 club near, and most of parts were desoldered from old mainboards, connectors also. The cable used inside were also made of old computer cables. I got the LCD for 3 € unfortunately it has no background lightning. Well all in all the costs were around 10€

i have a sid application running without Controle surface, would it be possible to update the application with an LTC Module? or do i need a with surface to change baudrate or something? Unforunately my PC is broken and i dont have any midi out on my laptop.. Thanks

With a pair of acceleracion sensors you could do a lot, and with a lot of those sensors do a remote like the wii one ;D Thank God my girlfriend is mexican ;D

Well thats exactly whats happening for the moment ;) You might be sceptical but i can hear exactly the same sid sounds out of this song ;)
