  1. hello all - I was turned onto this forum from djforums.com after discussing the lack of proper midi controllers out there. so I decided to build my own. I have a lot of experience with car electronics, but not much with studio / home electronics. I've been looking through the various sites and wikis, but I still can't figure out exactly what I need, where to get it from, and how to put it together. I live in the States, so if people know where to get the parts over here in the US that would be great. I want to make nothing spectacular. All I would like to do would have a controller with 64 buttons (momentary) and 64 pots... that's all. no LCD's, no LED's, no faders. no info has to come into the controller. so, I'm sorry again if these are asked all the time, but if you could bare with my ignorance. So, I'll just make a list of the questions I have: 1. What parts do I need to create a unit with just 64 pots and 64 buttons? 2. where can I buy these parts for people in the states? 3. are there schematics anywhere to do this? 4. what pots / buttons would you recommend? i'd like something with as little throw as possible, almost like a drum pad or a touch-sensative button 5. where can I pick up good knobs for the pots? thank you all!
