  1. Sorry guys, I've had a few personal issues over the past few months, which mean that I've been away from home, work and midibox. Pretty much it has been one thing after another... myself, friends and family.

I have all the knobs packaged, adressed and ready to go in the post tomorrow lunchtime.

I can only apologise for the lateness of these, if anybody needs to know exactly what's been going on then please PM me and i will explain.

  2. Hi. I had the cast removed from my hand on Monday so am able to function properly now. 2 months with no thumb on my right hand has not been easy (insert love life joke here). The knobs have been counted out but I doubt I will be able to post them before I go away for a couple of weeks tomorrow. I'm back in two weeks and will get them sent out first thing.

  3. I missed this one, by any chance does anyone have some spare Waldorfs they don´t need? I need a set for a MB-6582 ;)

Once I have my hand out of the pot and have finished counting htem out I will see what I can do. i probably have enough spare for a few sets.

Apologies once again for the delay

  4. It's not on Wilba, and unfortunately this kind of things happens too often when bulk orders are being organised... People can be very inconsiderate.. changin their order amount four times, blaming you for the invoice not arriving even though they've given you an incorrect email address which you have verified with them, promising faithfully they will get cash to you "next week" if you agree to foot it and then deciding they can;t afford it once you've made the order.

People seem to think that the guys organising the bulk orders are businesses and have nothing to do with their time apart from providing customer service. These people need to realise that the bulk orders are organised by people with limited time and stress levels who also have jobs, families and a social life and that they are not doing this to make money, but to help the community out. It takes a hell of a long time to contact ditributers, order packages, count them, package them, address them, post them (during the working day) and get them sent out (and whatever else is involved)

In short.... PLEASE SHOW A BIT OF RESPECT!

  5. Sorry... took the pictures but never got round to uploading them... here they are anyway.

Broken PCB... not too difficult to fix. I think this is just for the button matrix... Would rather it wasn't as then at least i'd have a suspected reason for th rest of it not working.

Both boards... The photos arent clear, but they really aren't in that much of a state

    Full size images are here

So... I've turned it on... everythign lights up, the display scrolls "Electribe"... I can select some options (the main encoder needs replacing as it was in two pieces and full of mud). When I hit play I get some very glitchy noises coming out of it but there seems to be some sort of rythm. At the moment I am saying this is promising. It may not be possible to get electribe sounds out of it, but going on the condition the functionality it has is promising as parts of it could be re-used

Video/and or sound samples will be added when I get a minute.

  6. Haha too much money... i can't imagine this will ever happen to me... furthermore i just booked a flight to mexico (from germany) and need equipment to work on a volcano - never enough money :) But thanks for your fast reply!

    Cheers,

    Johannes

    The MB-Volcanonator?

  7. HHEEEELLLPPPP

    Hi

today i found out that the parcel from smashtv is on its way back to the states, I have no time to get it back in time for the workshop, so i am facing the possibility to cancel the SID4all workshop.

Alternatively i can etch the boards myself but i am not sure i can find locally all the components, is there anybody in western Europe who has some kits to send me fast as hell ?  I could ask pay you directly or ask Tim to redirect my its whenever they get back to the states.

    Looking for:

    2xSID kits

    2xCore kits

    2xPIC PIC18F4685

    a bunch of Ram

When do you need them for?

I may have a couple of spare PICS at home that I could send out if you replace them at some point. I could probably even put the boot loader on them if need be. I won't know this untill later tonight and it all depends on me being able to find them and them being the right type.

  8. If you can't get it to work right, just keep the parts of the board that accomodate the rubber buttons, and build an MB808 sequencer in it. All those light-up rubber buttons ... it's perfect!

I thought about that, but my mate cam up with a better idea if it's completely broken. He wants to mount it on the center dsah of his Robin reliant (3 wheeler) so go along with his 1980's space age theme! Besides.... the front panel is not in a fit state.... all the corners are bashed and magled where it's hit something solid, all this on top to the case being warped in to an un-natural state, LOL.
