  1. I have a MD slaved to to the SEQV4 and use the internal MD sequencer as you can take advantage of the P lock function... I think this is your best bet... I change patterns via note changes (map notes to patterns in the MD)... Since having constructed a set to play live I have started a new set and have just kept everything in the Key of C and now use transpose instead...

  2. For the longest time I have used step rec to create all my sequences but just hooked up a keyboard to do real time rec and wow what a difference not sure why I have been doing step rec...

Thing that seems weird or maybe I do not have the right parameters set is the following for a 16 step sequence...

I will enter my notes to record but they do not play real time instead they play after the 16 steps have cycled thru after the initial note input...

Any ideas or where to look in the manual?

    Thx...

  3. Just a note as i recalled you said the led's have yet to be installed... Remember led 27 or somewhere around there the polarity is reversed as to the rest of the led's... Your not careful you can miss it...

  4. Check in the documentation for Mixer Map...

When I first started using the SEQV4 I was using that page to perform program changes and it would allow you on a per step basis to enter the PC... This may work for you... Now all I do is enter it under Track Event Config... Sorry i don't have a definitive answer fro you...

  5. Thanks guys... I have barely scratched the surface of the sequencer but big thanks to all here on the the board for support building it and TK... Also thanks to MIDILAB for the Pattern Rmix feature as this helps so much for transitioning into the next track... Still need to work on shortening the length of the tracks and transitions... Next set I make I am going to put everything in the Key of C and use the transpose function and take advantage of all the chords available instead of manually inputting chords via 3 note layers...

    SETUP...

    MIDIBOX SEQV4 - Master sequencer

MD MKII - slaved to SEQV4 patterns changed via midi not command

DARKENERGY MKI - slaved to SEQV4 via midi can be controlled via CV/gate but cant get the scaling dialed in well enough... arps mostly and leads...

ACIDLAB BASSLINE -  rx's midi clock

Moog Minitaur - basslines and does it well...

    MKS-30 (PG200) - chord stabs and pads

    JOMOX Mbase01 - kicks rx's program changes via SEQV4

Ensoniq DP/4 - fx config'd for 4x1 4 fx sends to A&H MixWizard... Porg change via SEQV4... Fx used Delay verb comp and misc

A&H MixWizrd 16:2 -  Great mixer as now I can use all 4 fx sends from the DP/4 send 3 always has a comp so I can use on the Mbase and Minitaur...

RNC 1773 Comp - Tame and round out the master mix...

All this in a roadcase... After 20 years this is what I have come up with and no longer use a computer or sit and arrange a track... Just walk up hit play and go to town always a good time with this rig and lots of hands on control...

Now I just need some gigs...

  6. I have noticed an issue when using the Pattern Remix with the SEQV4 sending midi clock to my Acidlab Bassline which causes the clock to go out of sync on the Bassline when de-mixing tracks... To remedy this I have to stop and start the sequencer which is a drag as the Bassline is an integral part of my live set... Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Thanks...

  7. Hey guys having an issue changing programs on a Mbase01 when I make pattern changes on the SEQV4…  Just to note i have G1T1 set for 64 steps and parameter "e" is program change… Program change 11 is entered on every step with the "All" option… Each of these patterns have been saved in the pattern folder then a Session Save before moving to the next pattern… When I select pattern B1 from A1 it fails to change to Program 47 and stays on 11.. When I check parameter "e" on B1 it sez Program 11...

    Example...

    G1T1

    Pattern A1

    Program Change 11

    Track Name: Mbase r01

    pattern save then session save

    G1T1

    Pattern B1

    Program Change 47

    Track Name: Mbase r37

    pattern save then session save

    Steps to fix this…

I have reinitialized the track to clear it all and no change… Program change works on the Mbase when I manually turn the GP1 knob when "All" function engaged… Strange thing is that my Minitaur works fine as it will change programs with Pattern changes...

    Any insight appreciated...

    Thx...
