This is great! I'll go pick me up an Amiga PSU then!
-
Huh, that's interesting nILS. I might finally be able to jump on this bandwagon because I got a job! :)
-
What kind of time frame should we be looking at for the various batches? It'd be helpful to know by what time I should have the money scrapped up. :)
-
I'm fairly certain I heard that graphical LCD's were supported by MIOS... but you sound like you know what your talking about. A C64 keyboard has been utilized in a few projects on the user project wiki, check them out.
-
I should pick this up.... I might order one soon then! :)
-
Fantastic! E-mailing shortly...
-
Yes! I'll be ordering a kit for sure! 2 Q's though... will the case source files be available if we wanted to order our own special color? and will this be compatible with upgrading it with the possible Core32 options that have been discussed. Really excited! :)
-
Couldn't some of this be answered with a Core32? ;)
-
Hey hey hey, core32 is out. ;) ;) I've been looking for something for a while to standalone DJ my Nintendos...
-
Sweet, keep me updated! I only need the PIC now for the core so I'll have to order some stuff from smash soon.
-
So I'll use this thread to document the building of my Midibox FM. My plans are to have a full blown FM with integrated USB support, AOUT, and built in filters. :o Currently I got the chips from Wilbas bulk order, and I'll use my ultracore as the base. I'm in the process of soldering up my core, and I have to buy my OPL3 board and other stuff. I'm sure I'll have questions so help would be appreciated... ;)

Hmmmm I actually like the way it sounds... :-[ maybe it could be implemented as a sort of bitcrusher?
-
Actually - it states that 2 SIDs and 2 SwinSIDs can be controlled from 1 core ;)
From the SwinSID review in the MB-SID manual, by TK:
"Note that thanks to the interface compatibility, it is possible to control two MBHP_SID modules, and one Stereo-SwinSID module from the same MBHP_CORE in parallel!"
My bad! Imagine a monster SID with 8 SIDS and 8 SwinSID's!
-
Hmmm... somewhere on ucapps it said 1 core could handle 2 SIDs and 1 swinSID... I wonder if that has been tried yet. ???
-
Thanks a lot Wilba! They arrived at my music laboratory today!!! It's so kind of you to offer this service...I'll make you proud! :D
-
Oh, that's okay Wilba :P
-
Way awesome! :D I was thinking about a design very much like that... hope you don't mind.
-
Really? I haven't even gotten the paypal invoice yet.
-
Email sent! :) I'm so excited! :D
-
Hmmm... maybe this could be a feature in the Midibox SID 32?
-
hi Sirkit,
hope You'll build a MIDIBox AY with keyb. and a 4x16 LCD - for I need a firmware tester! ;-)
I should be ordering everything tomorrow! I already have my keyboard. I'm gonna get my AY through this site. http://www.arcadechips.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_22&products_id=111
Hope it works!
Also with that HardplAYer, would you be interested in playing YM's off this box (like how the sid can play sid files)? Yours could be a lot more functional. A full keyboard! The HardplAYer had some interesting features like looping and such. Cheers!
-
Lemme rephrase that, do you prefer your (I believe) 16x2 lcd over what lemon horse used a 4x16 lcd.
-
Hey Nils would you prefer your LCD over a 4x16?
-
that hardplAYer is interesting, but yours is the one I'm interested in! ;)
