  1. I have been reading Wilba's mb-6582 construction guide this afternoon. there are several embedded links in the text that refer to specific threads in the forum. The URL's in these links look like this:

    http://midibox.org/forums/forum/index.php/topic,9623.msg70697.html#msg70697

i am assuming that they used to work? I have tried three different browsers, all with the same result: I just land on the front page of the forum section when i click on one of these links.

Does anyone have a tip on how to make these work? Am i just being a dim-wit and missing something simple? Thanks for your help.

  2. The two PCBs to the left of the CPU were acquired through a group buy run by seppoman about a year and a half ago. They are the MBHP_ETH PCB and the MBHP_SDCARD PCB.

You might try pinging seppoman with a PM and ask if they are still available. That was the only time that I have seen those PCBs for sale on the forum. They were sold as blank PCBs, you had to source your own parts. If you do find a source for these let me know. I need another set of them for another project I'm working on right now.

The middle PCB is the SD memory card receiver. Note that the eithernet card and the SD card connect to the CPU on a common cable.

    Good luck with your project!

  3. The timing is great on this Altitude. I have a mixer that I would like to re-knob. It's an old berhringer mx9000. About 405 knobs.

The problem is that this mixer uses knobs with a goofy orientation. If the knob pointer is at mid-point in rotation (12 o'clock), the flat of the pot is at 3 o'clock. I think this is known as a "west" orientation. I looked hi and low about 6 months ago and never found a suitable replacement and gave up.

I like the black knob with the color insert-able pointer shown above. I need a push on 6mm shaft, 11 to 13 mm base diameter (prefer 11 mm), 5 or 6 colors and the WEST orientation mentioned above. If you can make this work in your order and the price is right, you can put me down for 405 of them.

    Thank a bunch,

  4. My newly built SEQ v4 has an annoying problem. All 5 of the LEDs above the transport controls stay lit constantly regardless of play, pause, stop, etc... I have taken the unit back apart and examined the core, the cabling and the control surface with a microscope and see nothing wrong. I apologize if i am being thick here, but i just don't see any reason for this behavior. Is this most likely a build/hardware issue or software issue (running V.4.Beta24 3.5.65) A search here and at uCApps turned up nothing.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

  5. Greetings MIDIBoxers,

I came to this community just over two years ago after I stumbled across a vid that TK made of the V3 SEQ. After watching that video I set out to find out more about this MIDIBox thing and to possibly build one.

I started out buy scouring uCApps for hours and reading everything in site, I decided to build a MIDIBox MON with MTC display to learn the basics of bringing a MIDIBox project to life. This proved to be the perfect project to learn the MBHP with. Not to big - not to small - just right.

Then I started on the SEQ. I managed to get one of the last ULTRA PCBs and build it, and then TK launched the V4 SEQ with the 32 bit core. So I switched horses to that platform. A wilba UI PCB here, a TK enclosure there, a Julian top panel and pretty soon I had everything I needed to complete the project.

I have uploaded a few pics to my gallery to show the results. The main purpose of this post is to thank the MIDIBox community for your support and making this possible. TK, nILS, wilba, ultra, Altitude, Julian in the UK, and all of the rest of you have all been very supportive in my journey. You guys rock, every one of you!

Now the fun begins, I get to start using this thing...

    Thank you one and all,
