Yesterday, i found two capacitors with bad soldering (between ground and Vcc), so it was probably the source problem, as after that it worked ok for about one hour. I'll do some stress test before going live, but i'm now confident :) thanks again :)

Hello, I purchased 1 GM5 chip and pcb a long time ago, and have just soldered it (not easy). pluggin into mac osx was instant sucess After a stress test of about one hour with constant midi flow, i declared the board OK Now pluging into a linux ubuntu (tangostudio) the device is recognised by alsa and 5 ports listed, all ok up to here. either with aconnect or graphically with qjackctl i can wire something to the ploytec. The problem is : The connection disappears itself after 5 seconds :pinch: sometimes i can reconnect it, but it disappears again, and always, it is finally stucked, still listed but nothing gets in or out ... I tried different usb ports, external powered hub, no difference. Does anyone has experience with this board and linux and could help ?

My needs are quite similar (small, reliable, midifile player), and MANY THANKS guys, here is the answer, midibox again is the winner ! :frantics: My last post was about the mackie HUI to remote control the mixer, and now the midifile player can be done with the same midibox, i'm just dreaming awake ! sonner or later my band will be "all midibox powered" ;)

Hello, i'm planning to build a midibox LC (to control a fireface UFX with mackie control protocol) But i would like to : - replace the motofaders with Encoders+Ledbars (my main question) - don't mount the majority of buttons (this should be no problem with the code) so the controller can be smaller Is it possible by doing small changes to the original firmware code ? could someone give me some hints ? J'attaque ma nouvelle midibox, qui aura une meilleure tête que la précédente grace à un boitier original ! J'ai récupéré la boite d'un jeu d'enfants avec des cartes magnétiques pour répondre à des tests... la touche finale ca sera des leds dans les yeux du robot !

hello, i have a lot a spare knobs, and before anyone asks me the question, yes this is the remaining stock of knobs used for mawzer either prototypes or production. Some of them are used to build midibox projects for my own use, but i don't need 1000 of them ! So i'd be happy to offer the midibox community those knobs for a really cool price, rather than selling them on ebay or so. I'm wondering about the way to do it : either gathering the commands myself and shipping them, or sending the whole lot to Mikes-pcb for example who could add the knobs with pcb orders thus saving shipping costs...? après un essai, je confirme que ca n'est pas possible (sur ce modèle), le plastique étant scellé avec la ferraille...

et bien j'y ai pensé mais j'ai pas encore osé en démonter un, c'est pas trop fait pour ce genre de composants en plastique... J'ai peur d'avoir du mal à le refermer correctement. tu as dejà fait cà toi ?

salut, voilà un moment que je retourne le net pour trouver des mini joysticks (à prix raisonnable bien sur), sans grand succès... j'ai commandé ceux à chez conrad à 1,5€ pièce, marche super bien et bon prix http://www.conrad.fr/potentiometres_pour_joystick_p_18925_18989_774077_774078_FAS mais le souci c'est qu'ils sont "auto center" c'est à dire que le joystick revient en position centrale lorsqu'on le relâche. J'aimerai trouver les même, mais SANS la fonction "auto center"... est-ce que l'un d'entre vous aurait connaissance d'un fournisseur ? merci Raphaël

J'ai oublié quelques détails : sur la face arrière j'ai besoin de : 2 entrées analogiques pour des pédales 4 entrées digitales pour des footswitchs 4 MIDI OUT 1 USB in/out ce qui monte le total des entrées à : 43 AIN 84 DIN donc si je peux gérer 84 DIN sur un seul core, pas besoin d'en avoir 2 ! Il faurait donc rajouter des modules IIC_MIDI si j'utilise un core STM32, ou un module USB GM5 avec un core PIC

salut à tous, je reviens dans la course à la construction de midibox (sous un nouveau pseudo, car impossible de réactiver l'ancien...jerash) avec un GROS projet en perspective. A la vue du nombre de contrôles dont j'ai besoin, il me semble nécessaire de passer en multi-core, chose que je n'ai pas encore expérimenté. Je rentre dans le sujet : 41 entrées analogiques 80 entrées numériques (ou 72) voir plus bas 9 sorties led (ou 25) Pour réaliser cà , il me semble qu'il faut au moins 2 modules core, pouvez vous me confirmer ? Sur la base de cette hypothèse, quel firmware utiliser ? Autre question : ais-je intérêt à passer sur le nouveau core STM32 ? est-il multi-core compatible également ? Ci dessous un apercu de design en cours : quelques infos : en rouge : molettes de pitch et modulation en haut : un ribbon controller de 30cm et au milieu : un joli carré de pads sortis d'un roland MV8800 Je donnerai plus d'infos sur les pads roland quand j'aurai testé cà in-situ avec la midibox... je suis très enthousiaste !!! Il y a 16 pads en tout, donc j'ai deux solutions : utiliser 1 entrée DIN par pad (ce qui monte la total à 80 en DIN) utiliser un matricage de 4x4 (ce qui ferai 72 entrés DIN en tout) question : Peut on mixer entrées DIN traditionelles et entrées DIN matricées sur un même core ? Enfin, pour éventuellement gérer la vélocité des pads, il me faudra rajouter 8 entrées analogiques (soit un total max de 88...) et bidouiller un peu de code pour joindre les deux bouts. voilà , j'espère que vous aurez quelques réponses qui me permettront d'avancer sereinement Raphaël
