I finally built this sammichSID kit i've had for some years now, and it seems to be working(awesome : ), but i have a concern: Using the preset patches, the volume output seems a little low compared to other gear i have. Can someone please let me know what volume level i should be getting(with it plugged direct into a soundcard with no pre-amplification, etc.... If you could just do a simple test with the flute preset patch, pressing f1 button to audition and let me know the volume output level? This is a sammichSID v2 with 6582 sids in it... Thank you

I bought the PCB's/pic chip & parts to build a core and sid module back in 2003 (!) and never got around to building them. The sid pcb says: 2003 MBHP_SID on it, and the core pcb says: MBHP_US_CORE_V1 I think the label on the mios pic chip says: MIOS BOOTSTRAP LOADER V1_1a I am contemplating weather or not i want to get the new version PCB's and pic chip/mios from avishowtech.com (and maybe AIN & DIN pcb's) Could someone please tell me the differences between the version of parts i have, and the most recent version(MIOS/PIC chip - SID & CORE PCB's) ? Does the newer version have more function or better sound ? What reasons would one possibly prefer the old version or new version ? Thanks.
