  1. Hi, I have some MOS 6581 for sale. USD$26 each. Postage $5 worldwide (registered airmail / tracking number will be provided)
  2. I have some 8580 for sale. They are $50 each. I have 6582A too, but they are not for sale
  3. I just found out that I can upload the patches from Mios Studio. I have successfully upload it to bank A. How do I upload it to Bank B C and D?
  4. Hi, I 've just finished building a sammichSID. I have uploaded setup_sammich_sid.hex firmware and it restart and formatted all the bank sticks. I've downloaded Ctrlr patch editor, but I am not familiar with this software. How can I upload the default patches into the sammichSID? I've been keep looking into the Ctrlr software and I couldn't found any option to import the default patch file into the software. Anyone have any ideas what should I do to upload the default patches v2_vintage_bank.syx into the software?
  5. Hi Wilba and pingosimon , Thanks for the replies. Is 652-PEC16-4220FN0024 the right part number? It looks like the pin is 90 degree with the shaft in the photo. Have you confirm this part can be use with the sammichSID? What about the old encoder? What model is it? Regards, VS
  6. Hi, I have problem with the sammichSID Encoder, when I turn the knob there is no response. I couldn't change the patch by turning the knob. I want to buy a new encoder. Does all encoders works for replacement? I can't find any 16mm detented rotary encoder. Any suggestion? Regards, vs
  7. Hi, I have problem uploading the firmware on the Sammich PIC. I think something is corrupted in there. I also bought a MB-6582 PCB with PIC long time ago. Can I use the MB-6582 's PIC on sammichSID ? For both bootloader and firmware of Sammich and MB-6582. Are they the same? Regards, vintagestar
  8. Hello, do you have any 8580 for selling?

    Thanks!

  9. Hi, My Sammich LCD backlight is not working. It is a high-power backlight LCD. I have already put a shunt in JBL in the “12V†position. I have also Put a shunt in JR4 to increase current. The backlight was working before. However, when I take it out and turn on the synth. The back-light is not working anymore. Is the LCD broken or there is some kind of bad soldering on the PCB? What should I check on the PCB to be able to find what cause the problem? Thanks Regards, vintagestar
  10. Hi, I have finish building the sammichSID last week. Finally, I found out it's the USB <-> Midi cable's problem. I have install a sound blaster card in my computer and use that midi, the upload works finally. Anyway, I have put two MOS 6581 in the synth. However, there is several patches sound volume is quite low. Is the chip filter broken? P.S A016 Filtered Poly / A017 Filt Mono Pad / A022 Filtered B 6581 / A023 Filtered B 8580 / A044 Turntable / A048 Helicopters...etc I can hear them, but the sound volume is lower than other patches Regards, vintagestar
  11. Hi, I bought a new 6N138 chip. I also ask someone who has a PIC programmer to burn the hex file for me. However, I don't really understand what to do after reading this http://www.ucapps.de/mios_bootstrap_experts.html . Anyway, I downloaded MIOS V1.9g and Bootloader V1.2 from here http://www.ucapps.de/mios/mios_v1_9g.zip . There is two hex file. Which one do I have to burn into the PIC? Under pic18f4685 directory, sub directory burner has " bootloader_v1_2b_pic18f4685.hex " . Sub directory has " mios_v1_9g_pic18f4685.hex " . Which file do I have to burn into the PIC18F4685 chip? Regards, vintagestar
  12. Hi, Can you take a look if I put the 6N138 on the right direction? I put notch facing the right side before just like what the PCB show, but MIOS can't detect the bootloader at all. I put the IC notch facing the left side just like the photo shown here. Sometimes the MIOS can detect the bootloader but not stable, just like what I mention at the previous message. Regards, Sam
  13. Sometimes the software can detect the bootloader, sometimes it doesn't. Even detect is sucessfull, the upload might have no response. Even upload is in progress, uploading speed is about 1% per minute, which mean it takes more than an hour to upload that hex file. After upload are completed, sammich doesn;t restart, screen is still blank.
  14. Hi, Yes, I have two Sammich having the same uploading and booting problem. Regards, Sam
  15. I just try to put the 6N138 IC the other way around. Sometimes the software can detect the bootloader. How come? I thought I saw the notch of the IC is on the right side? However, not every tinme success. After MIOS sutdio 2 detect the bootloader, I was trying to upload the hex file. However, sometimes it has no response. Sometimes it was working, but the upload take about one hour to complete. After an hour time of uploading, it show the upload was complete. I press the query button, the software still only detect the bootloader only. It can't detect the application. Also Sammich did not reboot, the Sammich LCD screen is still blank. Anyone knows why? Regards, Sam
