So the filter on a SID is analog. Great. What about the oscillators? Digital or analog? If analog are they DCO or VCO? I've always assumed they were digital but I've read otherwise... Ta!

cheers for such a detailed answer :) think a sammich would be enough to keep my green hands full for now but it's good to know the possibilities are there. am on the waiting list for a sammich, might well try something a bit more ambitious once that comes together...

is it possible to add (hack) extra midibox sid appendages onto the Sammich? Extra sid boards, cv outputs etc? or would be just as easy to start a fresh project?

It's not much more than I payed for all the parts (2 C64s for sids, Mssiah/SID2SID, Psone screen...) Plus all the necessary work's been done. There are a few apps not featured on the Midibox SID too (namely sequencer/sampler), figured it might interest someone! And I am open to offers, but obviously see the attraction of the midibox :)
