Hi everyone,
There is some time that i'm planning to do this project, and i read a lot of things about it on internet.
Here is what i want (the red box)
I want to build a rackable unit system that enable/disable loops depending on witch midi message it receive.
But more than switching, i want the loops to be set in series or in parallels, and to be able to control each volume level :
Here is one product that is doing almost that (but it cost 2300$ ):
Soundsculpture switchblade
I have enough skill in almost everything i need for doing this(programming, midi knowledge, assembling...), except the nearly most important one : i don't know what components/hardware to use and how to choose them...
So here comes my firs question, what should i use , a microcontrolleur is enough ? witch one? use a matrix ? how to get the electrical board i need (sorry i don't know how to say it), etc etc.
Thanks for helping !
I'll update my post with the list of components, some pictures, software, links an explanations about how to do this as soon as i will know it. Because i'm sure there is a lot who will be interest by this !
Sorry for my bad English, i tried to make it as clear as possible....
