Hello, I've pulled MIDI DIN ports off of an old M-Audio M-Box. I'm going to plug it into a breadboard and route it to pins on my Altera DE2 FPGA Dev Kit is it OK to connect it directly to digital logic directly off of the breadboard? Is there any protective circuitry that needs to be in between? Thanks Malik this is part of someone's schematic on electro-music.com's forum would this be all i needed to perform MIDI I/O safely?
