the opped off the box at the shop. The tech took an interest right away and got the idea of it's workings. I'll just have to hand him the schematics for him to know what power is to be distributed exactly and for testing. He noticed no insulation between the boards and the metal. It might not have caused the short but it can't be good either. A whole new psu option could be considered as well. I'll report back as soon as I know something. I'm really hoping it's just the transformer though. Thanks Wilba
