Guest ghnz
Can anyone give me details on how to scale down the AINX4 V2 to 8 pots.I have 4 ICs but I don't want to buy all the pots, if I can avoid it, until I am sure I can get the box working. Can I just leave out the extra IC's.Thanks,Geoff
pilo
huuumm I think if you only use 8pot, you don't need AIN at all! just plug the pot on J5 connector!
TK.
Geoff, if you are using a MIDIbox64 it's ok, this firmware doesn't provide an unmultiplexed mode like MIOS. Yes, you can leave out the unused ICs, you just only have to connect the open analog lines to the PIC with ground - in the same way like the remaining analog pins of the PIC for the second AINX4 module have to be connected to ground.Best Regards, Thorsten. Guest ghnz
Hmmm, I was planning to use the MIOS and modify one of the sample apps as I was planning to add modules at a later date and don't have a JDM module. I didn't want to purchase too much hardware if I couldn't get a basic app going. Is this not considered a good idea?
TK.
Yes, this is the simplest solution, because the PIC16F firmwares are very static and don't allow so much possibilities like MIOSBest Regards, Thorsten.
