mrcam
Hi everyone,As I do not have any C64 power supply unit, I am looking for another solution. Jsaily from Lemon64 forum is making a clone of the C64 PSU... here are the links to the forum thread and schematics:http://www.lemon64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27552&start=105http://www.netsonic.fi/~kelpf25b/C64-PSU.zipWhat do you think about? :Dedit: i forgot to mention -> using an external 20ac/9ac output transformerimage: http://www.netsonic.fi/~kelpf25b/IMG_1090.JPG

stryd_one
Cool :)PSU design isn't so tricky... it's finding a suitable transformer that's the trick ;)
Smithy
Its really cool, especially for a replacement c64 PSU..but as for midibox sid, wouldnt you be better off just suppling a 9v dc and 5v dc line directly, instead of having to use an optimised psu on top of this to convert AC to DC? Smithy
And also smash pointed out in the chat that its a Switching PSU instead of a linear psu like the original c64 psu. Most switching PSUs are prone to being noisey, so it may not be suitable for the MB-Sid application.Still a cool find and alternative though.
