ALPS RSOAN... is resistance taper 1B = log or lin?

Hi there.

Iam thinking about buying 24 of the  "ALPS REAON11M9A06" motorfaders.

The datasheet says:

Total resistance: 10k

Resistance taper: 1B

So I need to know if they will work with the ucapps "MF module".

I think in europe B means log. But it seems that chinese manufacturers name B = linear.

Whats correct?

Thanks,

Roelli.

It's been discussed before, but.... Don't take our word for it - ask the distributor :)

I already asked the distributor... and he gave me the link to a datasheet which says "10KB".

Iam pretty sure that the distributor doesn't even know what lin or log is.  ;)

Do you have a link to the discussion on this forum? Can't seem to find it.

Yeah, sure... I can even find my own old postings... where for example someone corrected me... that potentiometers weren't measured in KB but kilo ohm. Very interesting!  :-[ >:(

And the wiki only says that both types of potentiometers.. "A" and "B" are mixed.  >:(

And the MF module website does not have any informations about this.

I even don't know if its 100K or 10K. Iam pretty sure I need a linear taper... but I don't know how the chinese call their taper curves.  ???

Either this is a game - or you don't know it, too.

Anyway - thanks for your help!  :P
