midi to parallel

hi all,

many modern notebooks have not a serial port.

On the contrary almost all have a parallel port.

who could develop a midi to parallel adapter?

I see it like that: Nearly every normal computer has an serial port. So that 2COM Interface is alright for those.

As a parallel port has much higher data transfer rates a parallel to MIDI would be like shooting mosquitos with a bazooka.

For laptops the USB2MIDI Interface is ideal, isnt it? Its small, it needs no additional power supply and you even have an extra MIDI i/o port! So there is not really any need for an parallel2MIDI thing, is there?

Look up the USB device on ucapps.com (in the MBHP). There are also the drivers downloadable.

P.S.: There are very cheap gameport2MIDI cables with drivers available in good music shops. If you have a gameport, you could try this, too.
