Midi to Digitech RP500/RP1000

Hello,

Is it possible to modify the RP500/RP1000 units to be controlled by MIDI instead by the regular switches build in the units, therefore making them way more flexible? I'm really serious about getting one and the lack of MIDI support is the only thing that's stopping me.
