deletemeplease Posted July 21, 2003 Report Posted July 21, 2003 I have to use 4 1N4001's on my core circuit because I can't find any UK supplier of B40C800 bridge rectifier. Now, I'm a little unsure how to connect up the 1N4001's - is this correct:Thanks! Quote
deletemeplease Posted July 21, 2003 Author Report Posted July 21, 2003 I was just looking on the eDrum website which uses similar components for that circuit, and it said the bridge rectifier W005 would be suitable as a replacement. Part - W005,PIV- 50VIfav. - 1.5AMax RMS- 35VMax cap- 5000µFMax Vf per diode- 1.1V/1AWhat do you think? :-/ Quote
MrMusicman Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Hey PulseYes you can use 1N4001 instead of B40C800, butyour picture is not right.The white band on them have to point from - to +.Like this:(as I can't put a picture I use text to draw a diode,like this -|--|------|-, the | in middle is the white band)AC -|--|------|- VSS (-) | |-- -- | | | | | |-- -- | | -- -- | | -|--|------|- VDD(+) ACHope this helpsKent Quote
