Hi,

my midi in is not working.

Did the following tests:

led test at J13 - led flashes with incoming signals

led test at pic pin 26&31 - led is lit

led test at pic pin 31 & optocoppler pin 6/8 - led is lit

Box is working alright so far, but midi learn isnt´t.

Thanks in advance, Sascha

only midi in connected (tried it with the midi learn function)

Also exchanged the optocoppler, but nothing happened.

Are there any other ways to test the midi in ?

Ok.

What devices are you using to teach the MB?

Also what are you trying to assign them to?

Have you checked your wiring on the midi socket?

Wiring on the midi port is okay, as the led flashes at J13.

I´m using a Fatar Studio 49 midikeyboard and i´m trying to assign a midi note to a button.

Also tried to send notes with midiox(my midi interface is a midiman portman2x4 tested working with all my other equipment).

No respond from my midibox!!?

One user noticed a similar problem after he checked the solderings of the MIDI In circuit, the reason was that he forgot to disconnect the LED, which is only used for debugging purposes and consumes so much power that the PIC doesn't receive any MIDI data.

Best Regards, Thorsten.

No, i didn´t solder the led to the board.

So I should continue to look for shorts, or any other suggestions??

Now I´m getting really confused.

I thougt it was a short, but I can´t find it.

Could it be a component, that´s broken?

Don´t know where to look any further...
