First, thank you to everyone! I've managed to almost finish my MB 6582 by only searching the forum and using the other Midibox sites (of couse, I have made a SID V1 before)! I'm really close, here's my situation. The control surface works great, no problems at all. I'm using two SIDS, I've got the left channel sounding good, but the right channel is really quiet and very very crackly (and sometimes silent, like on the first lead patch). I've found similar posts but can't seem to solve the problem for my particular situation.

Just measuring voltage differences between U2_SID1 and U1_SID1 I've found these inconsistencies:

U2_SID1:

pin 14: 2.46

pin 25: 6.09

U1_SID1:

pin 14: 0.01

pin 25: 6.09

R22_SID1:

5.08

R2_SID1:

0.00

Any ideas or suggestions on what to check? Is the SID dead? Which SID is the right audio channel? I tried re-heating/soldering the U1_SID1 socket joints but that didn't seem to do anything. Thank you in advance for your help!

Looks like I fixed it somehow? Taking the SIDs in and out one last time seems to have done the trick. Huh. Well, if it keeps working, I'm happy!
