spiltmidi
Hay there world. Just a question that I could not find the answer to. A Core8 can have ID's assinged to them so the computer can identify the two. Now with using multiple Core32's to the one Pc, how is this acheaved? Now my plan and why I ask this question is that I wish to make some controllers to control my soft synths and some plug-ins. As there will be around 4 - 5 Core32's connected to the Pc as seperate devices, how will the computer tell the different Cores apart from each other? Cheers. I suppose it depends how they are connected to the PC. If it is by USB then each CORE32 would appear as a seperate MIDI port on your PC. You would probably want to give each one a unique name in mios32_config.h though The PIC ID is really only useful when you have x CORE8's connected together (using MIDIbox link/MIDIbox Network) but only a single MIDI connection to the PC exists. This situation is unlikely to occur with the CORE32 Cheers Phil Edited March 5, 2010 by philetaylor
