rockband drums MIDI ??

i suppose most of you know rockband or guitar hero games.

there's a nice drumset which is sold on ebay pretty cheap

since i do not know anyone who has this game to try... do someone know if there is a MIDI output in the drum set?

do you know any hack to use this as a MIDI controller, maybe along with a MIDIBOX?

the big question is: which kind of signal do the PAD output? are they simple on/off swithces or are they velocity sensitive?

in the first case a "simple" hacking to connect the pad on/off signal to the MB core would be suffient, or not?

any other ideas?
