midibox seq realtime record function

I don't see a lot of detail or info about the "realtime record" function. Can the midibox generate a click over a 1, 2 or 4 bar phrase while parts are recorded in realtime using a keyboard or midi drum pad? Then copy to a new pattern, erase certain notes realtime and add new parts?
