Found a neat chip for driving LEDS

Hi, I see that many are making LED displays using Midi-box, this chip looks like it could save alot of time!

Not a time saver, as it is available in QFN and TSSOP packages only. Soldering this requires significant amounts of training and/or special soldering equipment. Go for MAX7221 instead, see for example the Stribe project (a MIDIbox version of this is described in this
