Hi Axel,

Congratulations on your box ;) .

I'm in the process of building a box like yours, just have to get my MF working.

Where did you get the knobs and transparent disk for your encoders, they look cool and also the round transparent buttons with built in leds.

Thanks

Hi Frank,

thanks for the compliment, but there are still some things to do on my box...

The Buttons and LED disks i made on a friend´s ...eh... turning lathe (...is this really the right word..?) from plexiglas.

The knobs are fitted on top of really cheap microswitches from Bürklin (www.buerklin.com, search for G070.612), i think you could get similar ones at your place.

The LEDs are not integrated in the knobs, they are just mounted to pcb and bent, so they are illuminating the plexiglass knobs from the side.

This way every button with knob and LED was only about 30 cents (and a little work...)

That is one sweet box you came up with. i noticed that you had a scubb/trasporter knob built in. Did you use Midibox circutry for that or did you use something else? how well does it work? what is you secret ?

thanks

Hi,

there is no "case" right now, i put the whole thing into my old Soundcraft console. The panel i made out of a material called "Hartschaumplatte" (got it at a DIY-market). This material is cheap, easy and fast to work with for prototyping. When i´m sure the layout is practicable i will order a aluminum panel from Schaeffer Apparatebau in Berlin.

The "data wheel"  is just the 16th encoder of the lower 16e without LEDs attached.
