msc175 Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Hi! I'm in the construction of a midiboxsequencer. specifications: LPC17, Wilba-Frontpannel, 3x MIDI IN / OU, 4 x MIDI OUT, OUT CV 8x, 8x GATE OUT, MIDI SYNC I have a 100% Wilba compatible frontpanel-layout and a second PCB with the other functional groups and the LPC17! Unfortunately, I've noticed in reviewing the documents, some inconsistencies, or undocumented facts! Since I have not found any answers and prevent the final completion of the PCBs I'm hoping for answers! Problem 1: The connection between J8 / 9 to the Wilba-frontpanel know for discrepancies. The 32bit cores have separate connections RC (RC1 and RC2). The front panel has only one Wilba (RC)! How should I connect the Wilba matrix?? My PCB has separate RC. Problem 2: I need 8x GATE, MIDI sync and MIDI I / O 3 Unfortunately, in which no LCP17 A8-A11 (J5C) available! MIDI3 is connected according to wiring diagram A6/A7! But where MIDI SYNC is connected? And where do I connect the GATE 8x? I thought about a DOUT register! Best described as the first register in the chain. Is that possible? I hope you can help me .... Greetings Dirk
TK. Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Hi Dirk, The connection between J8 / 9 to the Wilba-frontpanel know for discrepancies. The 32bit cores have separate connections RC (RC1 and RC2). The front panel has only one Wilba (RC)! How should I connect the Wilba matrix?? My PCB has separate RC. RC1 and RC2 output the same signal for compatibility reasons. You can use any pin Problem 2: I need 8x GATE, MIDI sync and MIDI I / O 3 Unfortunately, in which no LCP17 A8-A11 (J5C) available! MIDI3 is connected according to wiring diagram A6/A7! But where MIDI SYNC is connected? This isn't implemented for the MBHP_CORE_LPC17 variant yet, but I'm planning to make it available at J28 (the "Audio DAC" port) I will release a new version today And where do I connect the GATE 8x? J5A and J5B Please note: for all gate/clock signals it's recommended to use a 74HCT541 as 3.3V -> 5V level shifter Best Regards, Thorsten.
