tupinamba
Hi, I first posted this question in another topic and I think this was a bit confusing... So: in SONG MODE, is there a way to tell the sequencer to repeat a certain pattern endlessly until manually told to move to the next song step? Then your solo can last until you or your audience get bored... :shifty: Thanks!
TK.
Yes, there is a way: use phrases (16 phrases are available per song). Example: Pos Actn G1 G2 G3 G4 A1 x 1 1:A1 2:A1 3:A1 4:A1 A2 x 1 1:A1 2:A2 3:A1 4:A1 A3 x 1 1:A1 2:A3 3:A1 4:A1 A4 x 1 1:A1 2:A4 3:A1 4:A1 A5 Jump Pos A1
This will loop between Song position A1..A4 Now create a second phrase, starting at B1
Pos Actn G1 G2 G3 G4 B1 x 1 1:A1 2:B1 3:A1 4:A1 B2 x 1 1:A1 2:B1 3:A1 4:A1 B3 x 1 1:A1 2:B2 3:A1 4:A2 B4 x 1 1:A1 2:B3 3:A1 4:A2 B5 Jump Pos B3 When the sequencer is playing, you are able to switch between phrase A and B with the GP buttons Note that you can also add a mixer map (for sound settings/program changes/volumes, etc), Mutes and Tempo to a phrase: Pos Actn G1 G2 G3 G4 C1 Mixer Map 1 C2 Mutes oooo oooo oooo oooo C3 Tempo 132 BPM C4 x 1 1:A1 2:C1 3:A1 4:A1 C5 x 1 1:A1 2:C1 3:A1 4:A1 C6 x 1 1:A1 2:C2 3:A1 4:A2 C7 x 1 1:A1 2:C3 3:A1 4:A2 C8 Jump Pos C6
Best Regards, Thorsten. tupinamba
Wow, that's great! Each day comes with another possibility unravelling to me... Is it ever going to stop? Thanks again Thorsten.
tupinamba
... OK, one more time  In PHRASE MODE, it looks like it doesn't automatically go from song position A1 to song position A2 (unless A1 is TEMPO, MUTE, etc...). i.e. it repeats the same pattern, unlike in the exemple you gave me where you created a loop from A1 to A4 and all that made a phrase. Is there something to set up? Edited August 27, 2011 by tupinamba
TK.
You are right, I overlooked this. In the next version it will be possible to change between phrases in song mode as well. With the changed behavior it will work for your usecase Best Regards, Thorsten.

tupinamba
Hi Thorsten, Is there anything new on the subject ?... And something else : is it possible to repeat a 16-step-long fragment of a long pattern (128 for instance)? When composing it would make things easier when you can hear the portion you're working on as a loop... Thanks!
TK.
Thanks for the reminder - I wanted this feature as well, therefore I will implement it tomorrow. :) And something else : is it possible to repeat a 16-step-long fragment of a long pattern (128 for instance)? yes, just enable loop mode with MENU+SCRUB This mode can be configured in the Fx->Loop page, e.g. it's possible to loop only the step view (16 steps) of the currently selected track, or all tracks. And the loop length can be configured as well. Best Regards, thorsten.
