Broken menu button

Hi all!

Just finished my sammichSID :frantics: and everything works except the menu button.

-Multimeter says no power on S10, the buttons 9,11,and 12 work perfectly. How to fix this problem?

-All the buttons have a power reading 4,95 V, but the S10 only measures 0,08V.

-Soldering seems to be solid, the button itself seems to be ok. Who has a clue?

Where to start debugging?

Cheers!

Thanks Janis1279,

But after inspection I see no cracks in the copperlines nor solderconnections which can shortcut.

Could it be that the 6 Pin Common Bus Resistor Networks 6PIN 10KOhms 2% is a little dead? Or is there a way to bypass s10 to toggle menu in a way?

After removing S10 my Sammich won't boot in a proper way anymore!

Cloning slaves

It says

Cloning Slave 01

Adress 0

What is wrong?

Cheers!

Hi,

In the MBsid_v2 user manual you can read about your sammichSID strange boot in ,

"the firmware saw "pressed MENU button :

"bullet.gif Updating Firmware to a new Version

Thats easy: just upload the new midibox_sid_v2 release to the master core with MIOS Studio.Once this firmware is booting, and the version number is displayed, press&hold the MENU button of your Control Surface to "clone" the new firmware to the slaves via CAN interface."

You can measure every resistor resistance for the 6 Pin Common Bus Resistor Networks. In the worst case not so hard to add an additional separate 10KOhm resistor, I think.

Regards,

Janis
