mitcheaton1
A couple issues.... i attached the CS and on boot 3 LEDS light up... 1 in the matrix and 2 under the lcd. most of the switches dont work, the encoders work but are controlling random functions... when i turn the LFO encoder it lights up random leds on the matrix. the menu encoder doesnt switch patches but instead change a value of the lead patch... what should i be seeing when i initially boot the MB6582? the lcd shows all 4 cores connected indicated by 1---. I have removed the LCD form the equation and the problem persists.. i tested all the cables going from the cs to the pcb and i checked the orientation of the diodes which are fine... should i be looking at the main PCB or the CS? Also I have shorted 2 LCD's on it base pcb... is the pot on the bottom right supposed to control voltage supply to the lcd? if so which way should it be turned for lowest voltage? (its the pot that has the different orientation from the other four) i have it turned all the way to the left... the lcds work for about a ccouple hours and then no backlight... any help would be greatly appreciated... my friend has an mb6582 and i was thinking of trying his control surface so i can at least nail it down to the base PCB or the CS... maybe im just not clear on where to start... thanks -Mitch Edited January 25, 2012 by nILS Deleted the double post. strophlex
I had a similar problem. Check the orientation of the resistor networks on the base pcb. Dots should align. Good luck.
