jsmoog Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 Hello. Just to start off, I'm not a DIYer. I bought my MB6582 from a site member here about 2 years ago. With some help I'm hoping I can fix the issue... I control the 6582 via external MIDI. Last night when playing live from my controller through ProTools, the 6582 seemed to receive a control message that caused it to stop receiving notes. The display looked like it was running a script of sorts and when it finished, it loaded patch 1 but would not play. I cycled the 6582 off and when I powered it back up it started as normal and loaded patch 1. However, after about 5 seconds (or so) it rebooted and then continued this cycle indefinitely. I'm assuming I will need to reload software, but wanted to check with the forum before proceeding since this is the first time I will be attempting something like this. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hawkeye Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 It could also be a failing PSU - do you use a native Commodorde power supply? Can you measure voltages on the MB6582 mainboard when it is powered on? orange_hand created an excellent infographic showing "necessary" voltages: Many greets, Peter
